David Dodge Lewis is the William W. Elliott Professor of Fine Arts
at Hampden-Sydney College in south-central Virginia. He has an MA (1981) and an MFA (1987) from East Carolina University,
both in painting. Lewis also attended the Art Students' League in New York City (1978) and the School of the Museum of
Fine Arts in Boston (1974-75). His work has been in over 100 national juried exhibitions and solo shows, winning many awards,
including five "Best in Show" awards in National juried competitions since 1990; it also appears in many public
and private collections.Robert Sulkin is Professor of Art
and Art Department Chair at Hollins University in Roanoke. He grew up in North Carolina and received a B.A. in History at
the University of North Carolina and an M.A. and M.F.A. in Art at the University of Iowa. His photographs have been exhibited
in more than 100 solo and group shows in the mid-Atlantic region including the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk and the Virginia
Museum of Fine Arts. A solo exhibit of his work is currently circulating through the Virginia Museum's statewide exhibition
program.
